Grier had a great year with our entries for the Scholastic Art & Writing Competition. Earlier this month, we highlighted the amazing visual artists who won keys or received honorable mentions in the competition. Over the next several installments of The Cricket, we are going to highlight the amazing writers whose talent was recognized by Scholastic. We will highlight two writing pieces each publication, so keep an eye out over the next couple of months as their pieces are published.
The first two writers featured are Sarah Papi, ’28, whose work “Time Stops” won a gold key in the competition and Katie Payne, ’25, who received an honorable mention for her story “A Break in Their Day.”
